Marcheta Pierucci

PRICE-Marcheta Curnell Pierucci, age 90, passed away December 4, 2015 in Price.
She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 9, 1925 to John Wesley and Pearl Johnson Curnell. Married Clyde Arnette; they later divorced. On October 21, 1952, she married John Francis Pierucci in Price. John preceded her in death on July 31, 2000.
Marcheta was an active member of the Trinity Christian Center of Price. She shared a strong faith in the Lord and passed her knowledge down while operating the Christian Book and Antique Store in Price. She was a proud survivor of the depression and her home could speak volumes. Marcheta was always willing to share her vast knowledge with those who entered her store or home. In her earlier years she was a staunch supporter of the youth. She operated her own Kindergarten, was a Den Mother and served as a director of Ann Self School in Spring Glen.
Marcheta had many passions in life. She enjoyed listening to music, tending to her flowers, reading, traveling with her husband and most of all enjoying the peace and tranquility of her home.
Survivors include her son, David E. (Carole) Arnette, Price; three granddaughters, Susan Arnette, Miriam and Esther Pierucci.
Marcheta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John; and son, John Stephen Pierucci.
Funeral service, Thursday, December 10, 2015, 1:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Thursday one half hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery.
