The Castle Gate Posse shooting with 140 of its peers from around the country represented itself with speed and accuracy at the State Championship in St. George, April 17-19, 2008.
They are especially proud of 10 year old Karson The Kid, Utah State Champion in the Buckaroo category. And Texas Slick Willy who took the top prize in the extremely competitive Senior Category.
Cowboy Murder’n Maude, President of the Castle Gate Posse says, “We are proud of all the members of our posse who placed in their categories. The posse is busy preparing to host the first large shoot at the North Springs Shooting Range on May 16 and 17.”
She reports that 120 shooters from 8 states are looking forward to competing with each other at the Castle Gate Robbery. The state championship was all a buzz about our new facility at North Springs and we are as proud as new parents over the upcoming event.”
Spectators are encouraged to come and observe this shooting sport, browse and shop with the vendors who will offer such diverse items as custom molded ear plugs, to period correct ladies dresses, corsets and accessories, men’s period clothing, hats, custom carved knives and jewelry.
