Letter to the Editor: a Genuine Treasure

By Sun Advocate

Editor:
The April issue of Sunset Magazine contained a great advertisement for Castle Country which reminded me of my visit to the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum in Price.
I visited Price in 2000 to attend the 50th Class Reunion of my graduation from Carbon High School. Several of my classmates and I toured the museum and I was intrigued with the breadth of the exhibits and the manner in which they were displayed. I have traveled through most of the United States and Europe and I believe for its size, location and subject matter it can “hold its own the with the best.” It is a genuine treasure.
I also was pleasantly surprised that two of my childhood physicians and neighbors were the founders of the museum. I salute Dr. Dorman and Dr. Whiting and their families for their foresight in establishing such a unique educational addition to Carbon County.
