It wasn’t very long ago that Carbonville Road travel meant smooth sailing. But in the last couple of weeks work began near the Price City limits installing the new 8″ distribution pipeline for existing water customers in the area. In addition the 20 inch line that will be installed to tie in with the 10 million gallon storage tank on Wood Hill. No water service will be connected to that new line, in that it is a supply line only. Traffic control has been running very smoothly, even though the road has been shut down to one lane in as the construction area moves north on the road. The contractor, Condie Construction, has scheduled it’s work force to be on the job 10 hours per day four days per week with no one working on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
