The Carbon High School softball team lost its home game against Canyon View High School on Tuesday, falling 9-2.
Despite six hits, the Dinos were only able to muster two runs in the third inning, on a two-run home run by Mckenna Sorenson. However, Carbon was already behind by four runs, after Canyon View had scored one run in the first and three in the third.
Canyon View extended its lead with one run in the fifth and effectively sealed the victory with four runs in the sixth.
The Dinos will play next on Tuesday, a home game against Region 12-rival Richfield High School with first pitch slated for 3:30 p.m.
