Clouds of condensed water droplets rise from the cooling towers, stacks and boiler blowdowns at the Hunter Power Plant Sunday. Smoke particles are filtered out in bags before they reach the stacks. Flue gases pick up moisture as they pass through showers in the plant’s scrubbers that remove sulfur dioxide emissions.
