Garth “Kay” Workman age 75, died December 27, 2015 in Clawson, Utah. Kay was born in Vernal, Utah on June 2, 1940. His parents were Floyd Enoch and Reva Shiner Workman. He attended schools in Vernal, served in the Navy from 1957 to 1961, and received an honorable discharge.
Kay married Barbara Cramer on March 9th 1963, and of this union three girls were born. Katina K, Kristie Ann, and Mindie May.
Kay could do anything from finish cement, lay brick, build a house from the ground up, farm, weld but his greatest joy was building power lines, he was good at all of it. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, hunting and fishing.
Kay is survived by his wife Barbara, Daughter, Mindie Cox; grandkids, Dustin (Jill) Jones, Jesse (Mckenzie) Jones, Kaycie Jones, Derrik (Marissa) Cox, Kara (Jared) DeVore; great grandkids, Jaxson Jones, Camden Jones, Dregan Jones, Payton Jones and London DeVore; brother, Boyd (Elaine) Workman; sister, Elaine (Jim) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Katina K Workman Justice, & Kristie Ann Workman Jones, his parents, Floyd and Reva; In-Laws, Russell and Lucille Cramer; sister-in-law, Sharon Wilson Workman; brother-in-law Cliff Dossett; son-in-law, Dale W. Jones; nephew, Michael Cramer; great nephew, David Calder.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at The Vernal Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will be Saturday from 10:30-11:30 at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary prior to traveling to Vernal Memorial Park at 11:45, Military Honors provided by American Legion and Utah National Guard.
