Ross Perri

HELPER-Ross D. Perri, age 72, passed away March 12, 2015 in Price.
He was the loving son of Ross Perri and Ermida M. Vasirani, both whom preceded him in death.
Ross was born in Standardville on May 13, 1942.
Ross was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1960. He graduated from Carbon College with his Associates in Business in 1964 and in 1966 received his Associate of Science from the College of Eastern Utah. In 1970, Ross graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
Ross served in the Army/National Guard at Fort Ord in California and Fort Belvoir in Virginia where he was honorably discharged. He was former accountant for American Oil and the Salt Lake County Courthouse.
In his younger years, Ross excelled in bowling, horseshoes and baseball. He was a member of the 1956 Helper Pony League All-Star Team. Ross enjoyed shooting pool, playing poker and was an excellent chess player who played against many world champion chess players. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Survived by his Aunt Emma Beacco, Price; Uncle Mike Perri, Rock Springs, Wyo.; many loving cousins and a community of lifelong friends and neighbors.
Funeral Mass, Monday, March 16, 2015, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper. Family will receive friends at the church Monday one hour prior to Mass. Friends are welcome at Mitchell Funeral Home Sunday from Noon-8 p.m. Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Ross online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
