HELPER – Yvonna Mae James passed away in the comfort of her home at 1:30 pm Feb. 25, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born Aug. 19, 1922 in Castle Dale to Clarence Paul Anderson and Iona Mae Oveson Anderson.
Survivors are sons, Louis and Arthur; daughter, Vearla James Warner; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was a member of the LDS Church and was married to Earl O. James on Nov. 26, 1938 in Castle Dale. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple Dec. 19, 1964.
She was talented in music and art, cooking and baking. She made birthday and wedding cakes upon request. She was a great seamstress. She made wedding and formal gowns and other clothing.
She was a homemaker extraordinaire and a devoted wife and mother.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A special thanks to her granddaughter/caregiver Stephni and her sister-in-law Rhea for the loving care she received.
Funeral service was on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at the Helper LDS Stake Center. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Yvonna online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
