Carbon High Football faces tough test with 3A power Morgan High

By Sun Advocate

After two tough losses in the last two weeks, the Carbon High Football team won’t have much time to dwell on the past.
The Dinos will face a tough test with the Morgan Trojans coming to town for a 3A North battle on Friday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Carbon High Football Field.
Carbon (3-2 overall, 0-1 3A North) is coming off a 41-13 loss that saw the Dinos fall behind early in the first half. The offense started to gain momentum as the game went on but, by then, it was too late.
Morgan on the other hand is coming into the game with a 3-1 record, including a 1-0 mark in 3A North play. The Trojans defeated Emery High 35-0 last week in both teams 3A North opener.
In the last meeting between the two teams, Morgan defeated Carbon 61-0 in a game that saw the Trojans take a 48-0 lead into halftime on September 27 of last year.
The game against Morgan is the first of two straight home games for Carbon. They will face another difficult test on Friday, Oct. 3 when Class 3A defending champion Judge Memorial comes to Price for a game.
