With a shot at advancing to the state tournament next week, everything is on the line for the Carbon High wrestling team this weekend at the Region Meet on Feb. 7-8 at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
Steve Woodhouse, Carbon High head wrestling coach, said previously that the team has improved a lot over the course of the season. While they did not win every meet they participated in, Woodhouse said the improvement of the wrestlers in the program has been noticeable.
Now with region on tap this weekend, Carbon High wrestlers will look to try and advance to the state tournament held Feb. 14-15 in Salt Lake City.
Wrestlers must finish within a top portion of their weight class in order to qualify for the state tournament.
