CHS girls work to turn road woes around

By Sun Advocate

After starting the year with a home win over Union, the Lady Dinos got off to the start they were looking for.
But since that win on Dec. 3, the Lady Dinos have played seven straight games away from home that included a two-game tournament at Morgan High School and a three-day tournament in Fruita, Colo.
The Carbon girls have gone 1-6 in that stretch with their lone win coming against Delta on Dec. 12.
While the tough start was not what the team had in mind when the season started, a tough schedule could play dividends come Region 12 play.
Carbon will travel on one more road trip including two games in southern Utah, a game against Pineview on Dec. 27 and a game against Snow Canyon on Dec. 28.
The girls will return home to host their first home game in a month when Uintah comes to Price on Jan. 4, 2014. The Lady Dinos will open Region 12 play on Jan. 14, 2014 when they will play host to North Sanpete.
