CLEVELAND RESERVOIR: (December 10) On Dec. 5, Aquatics Biologist Calvin Black reported safe ice conditions with an air temperature of three below zero. Highway 31 was open, but snow packed. There haven’t been any recent reports on fishing success.

ELECTRIC LAKE: (December 10) On Dec. 5, Aquatics Biologist Calvin Black reported that ice was forming near the dam, but the north end remained ice free.

HUNTINGTON NORTH RESERVOIR: (December 10) On Dec. 5, Aquatics Biologist Calvin Black reported a thin layer of ice on the northern third of the reservoir. The boat ramp was open at that time. There were no anglers fishing at the time of his visit.

HUNTINGTON RESERVOIR: (December 10) On Dec. 5, Aquatics Biologist Calvin Black reported safe ice conditions with an air temperature of three below zero. Highway 31 was open, but snow packed. On Dec. 6, Office Manager Danielle Mills reported good fishing during the week. They used pink-tipped orange ice flies. Any kind of bait seemed to work well. Their fish ranged from 1.5-2.5 pounds and 14-20 inches long.

JOES VALLEY RESERVOIR: (December 10) On Dec. 5, Aquatics Biologist Calvin Black reported a skim of ice around the edges. Fishing was fair. At that time, anglers had been having the best luck from a boat while targeting splake.

MILLSITE RESERVOIR & STATE PARK: (December 10) Anglers have been using PowerBait and worms. On Dec. 5, Aquatics Biologist Calvin Black said the reservoir remained ice free and confirmed that fishing was good.

SCOFIELD RESERVOIR: (December 10) Conservation Officer James Thomas reports that most trout being caught are in the slot limit with a smaller number exceeding the slot.
On Dec. 5, Aquatics Biologist Calvin Black reported a complete ice cover with thickness ranging from 3-5 inches. Anglers are advised to exercise extreme caution and observe ice safety precautions. At the time of his visit, Calvin saw anglers on the ice, but no one had caught any fish.
On Dec. 9, Tyre Holfetz fished the west side of Scofield. The ice was four inches near the shore, and tapered to two inches near the center. He caught three fish in 75 minutes in eight feet of water.
