Carbon County Recreation is currently taking early registrations for the upcoming Youth Tackle Football season. The recreation office assumed responsibility of the local youth program in 2004. Since that time CCR has tried to improve the program each year. One of the upgrades have been new uniform jerseys and game pants for every team. This season CCR will add some new helmets, shoulder pads, and replace most of the hip, knee, and thigh pads along with recertifying all of the existing equipment in use.
Games will begin in mid August and will be played on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Each team will play an eight game schedule which will include a couple of match ups with teams from the Emery County Recreation League. This has been a tradition since CCR took over the program.
