Price Police Officer Brandon Sicilia arranges to transport Selestino Lujan to the Carbon County Jail.
On the morning of Feb. 17, East Carbon City Police, Price law enforcement, Carbon Metro Drug Task Force representatives and medical personnel executed a warrant at Lujan’s residence in East Carbon.
According to East Carbon Police Chief Sam Leonard, the warrant was obtained through citizen information and law enforcement’s surveillance of the area. Lujan was booked into the county jail at 10:20 a.m. for possession of methanphetamines and possession of paraphernalia.
However, Leonard indicated that the subsequent search of Lujan’s residence turned up two all-terrain vehicles with filed off serial numbers. The discovery resulted in additional information to be forwarded to the county attorney’s office for review. The search also uncovered approximately one ounce of suspected methanphetamines and a bicycle that was reported stolen to the Price City Police Department.
‘The metro drug task force did a ton of work for us on this arrest,” pointed out Leonard. “Through a cooperative effort, we are out to show that drugs will not be tolerated in our community.’
