For several years the Price Lions Club has made a contribution to the Carbon County Food Bank to help families in need in the community.
The club sponsors fund raisers throughout the year so that project money is available to help where it can do the most good. The club has sponsored the Chuck Wagon Breakfast during the International Days celebration for over 20 years. The club also has a mint project in many businesses around the community as well as selling brooms from the Blind Foundation in Salt Lake.
The Lions Club members stay very active all year long with being responsible for the maintenance on the Carbon County Airport pavilion and the Boy Scout Aquatics Camp Trading Post. The club also helps with eye care for the working poor.
This past year the club made a $5,000 contribution to the Dino-Mine Adventure Park project in north Price and well as contributing many volunteer hours to help make the park a reality.
The International Lions organization is the largest service organization in the world with over six million members worldwide and it supports may worthy projects for the preservation of sight in the United States as well as third world countries.
