The Utah Little League Folkstyle Wrestling Championships were on April 1 at North Sanpete High School.
The Carbon Raptors did very well earning four gold medals, four runner-up medals, and one third place medal.
Two of their teammates, Caleb Williams and Kenny Wood, traveled to the Reno Worlds Tournament the same weekend, with Caleb Williams taking third place.
“The boys wrestled exceptionally well this weekend,” said Coach Montel Jackman. “They have been very dedicated throughout the season, and I’m glad to see it pay off for them.”
Kenden Huff also won an Outstanding Wrestler award.
Nathan Velasquez, Johnny O’Hearon, Bryce Jackman and Kenden Huff all placed first in their events, while Tyler Procarione, Lane Neese, Taylor O’Hearon, Nico Velasquez and Kyler Key all placed second.
