Recently, four Carbon High boys basketball stars were named to the Region 8 all region team.
Selected to the first team were Neal Maynes and Joe Moynier. Both athletes completed the year quite successfully.
The two seniors became key players in the Dinos lineup and received several compliments from team members and coaches alike.
Maynes played guard for the Dinos and managed to sink three-point shots quite effortlessly for the Carbon ball club.
Moynier also played guard for the Dinos and also had a successful season from the field. The Dino athlete could sink a shot from just about anywhere on the field.
Appointed to the all region second team was seniors, Tyson Hackwell and Jamal Lewis.
Hackwell guided the team throughout the year by manning the point guard position. Along with his ball handling skills, Hackwell also added his fair share of points from the field.
Lewis played the forward position and became a strong athlete under the basket. His rebounding skills allowed the Dinos to capitalize on several big breaks throughout the year.
All four of these talented athletes will be missed next season as each move on after graduating this spring.
