Sister Jewkes


Sister Paula Marie Jewkes has accepted a call to serve in the Uruguay-Montevideo mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is the daughter of Robert and Lynda Jewkes of Wellington.
Sister Jewkes’ missionary farewell meeting will be Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. at the Wellington 4th LDS Ward, located at 100 East 50 North across from the city park.
Sister Jewkes will enter the missionary training center on Aug. 15.


Elder Judi


Elder Derek Paul Judi, the son of Vaughn and Marianne Judi, has been called to serve in the New Zealand-Wellington mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Elder Judi’s missionary farewell meeting will be Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. at the Castle Dale 3rd LDS Ward building, located at 165 West 800 North.
Elder Judi will enter the missionary training center Aug. 22.


Sister Pollastro


Sister Melissa Pollastro has accepted a call to serve in the Brazil-Sao Paulo south mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is the daughter of Carl and Vicki Pollastro.
Sister Pollastro’s missionary farewell meeting will be Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Spring Glen LDS Ward. The ward meets at the Helper LDS Stake Center, 150 Ridgeway. There will be an open house Aug. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pollastro residence, 2465 N. 2650 West, Helper.
Sister Pollastro will leave Aug. 14 to enter the missionary training center in Sao Paulo.


Elder Powell


Elder Kristopher Lavon Powell has been called to serve in the Macaeio-Brazil mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is the son of Kerry and Karla Powell.
Elder Powell will speak Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Huntington 3rd LDS Ward, located on 2nd North and Main Street. Following the meeting, there will be a luncheon for family and friends at the Powell residence, 550 W. 512 North, Huntington.
Elder Powell will enter the Sao Paulo missionary training center Aug. 29.


Elder Simms


Elder Robert Simms recently returned to the local area after serving in the Montana-Billings mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Elder Simms will speak about his mission during sacrament meeting Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Carbonville LDS Ward, 1985 W. 4000 North, Spring Glen.
He is the son of Kent and Connie Simms. He is the grandson of Bud and Doris Mills and the late Edward and Mildred Simms.


Elder Ward


Elder Jesse R. Ward has been called to serve in the California-Sacramento mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Elder Ward’s missionary farewell meeting will be Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. at the Cleveland 1st LDS Ward.
He is the son of Scott and Cindy Ward. His grandparents are Ray and Marie Ariotti and the late Duane and Vernice Ward.
Elder Ward will enter the missionary training center Aug. 15.
