Oblivious to signs reading ‘Warning: open gun range,’ a herd of whitetail bounded off the skeet range on the hill behind Reservoir Street in Helper as a truck approached last Sunday afternoon. With what seems to many to be a wet spring, wildlife is visible at lower elevations.
