I took the Sun Advocate’s on line poll concerning the water shortage not too long ago. It was hard to vote because I think there is more to think about than the four areas that were there to choose from.
I think water restrictions should be on a voluntary basis, with no watering on Sunday and no watering between the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
I remember the year we had certain day restrictions. The employees where I worked watered the lawn whether it needed it or not. They also watered during every hour that was allowed under the restrictions. Before the restrictions we were lucky to get the lawns watered at all.
I think most people have the tendency to take all the can even if they don’t need it when there is a restriction.
