It’s called the circle of friends in Price but in East Carbon the program is known as the friendly caller. Both programs assist the shut-ins, often the elderly or home-bound people with disabilities.
Starting in July the group, under the leadership of TRIAD and the local law enforcement programs will call the shut-ins in the community every day to check up on them and see how they are doing.
Everyone has heard the stories of seniors who have fallen, unable to get up and no help for hours, or maybe people need help with yard work or have questions unique to the aging citizen or those living with disabilities. This program is set to help. It is planned to be launched in Price in July.
