Carbon Medical’s board of directors was instrumental in applying for the grant that was awarded to the clinic for the new building.
Canyon Country Construction, LLC, out of Moab, was chosen as the general contractor for the project.
The new facility will be 8,000 square feet and will house a pharmacy, three operatories for dental, six exam rooms and an urgent care area, behavioral health area and digital x-ray.
Parking will be built to accommodate patients and employees.
Carbon Medical has been operating since 1952 when it was located in the old Dragerton Hospital.
The current building was built in 1973.
Carbon Medical has expanded its services and also its hours of operation to help with access to patients no matter of payor sources.
