WELLINGTON- Devoted husband, father, and papou, Angelo E. Pappas, age 89, peacefully departed this life on September 16, 2018.
He was born on April 12, 1929 in Price, Utah to Constantinos E. Pappas and Catherine Marie Naturale. Married Katherine Drossis on April 24, 1955 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Price.
Angelo loved his family with all his heart, and he touched the lives of all who knew him.
As a boy, Angelo spent summers sheep ranching near Vail, Colorado. The experience gave him a yearning to have his own farm. That dream came true in 1972 when Katherine and he bought a 160-acre farm.
He was a quiet and hard-working man, who was always there to lend a hand when needed.
Lifelong resident of Carbon County and retired employee of Questar Corporation in Price.

Survived by his children: Elaine (Matt) Pollock, Price; Georgia Porter, Greenbelt, MD; Angelo G. (Brenda) Pappas, Wellington; grandchildren: Trinity, Katina, Angelique, Mariah, Tia; step-grandson, Creed; great grandson, Xander; and dear friend, Chad Allred. Preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Ted Pappas, sister Vivian Udink, and son-in-law Brad Porter.
Funeral service, Friday, September 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Trisagion service, Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Family will receive friends Thursday and Friday one hour prior to service at the church. Committal, Price City Cemetery.
