Castleview Hospital named an interim CEO to fill in for the departing Mark Holyoak.
Jerry Dooley will serve as the hospital’s chief executive as the facility’s parent company, Duke LifePoint Healthcare, searches for a permanent replacement for Holyoak, who is leaving for a job in North Carolina.
Dooley will start at Castleview Sept. 12.
Holyoak’s last day is Sept. 7. A going away send-off will take place Thursday at the hospital.
“We are delighted to welcome Jerry to Castleview as the national search for a new hospital CEO continues,” says a statement released by the hospital on Wednesday. “Jerry is a wonderfully experienced hospital executive who has spent more than a decade serving as interim CEO for hospitals within the LifePoint and Duke LifePoint systems, providing continuity, leadership and direction during transitions such as the recruiting of a new CEO. He has lead teams across the nation and is known for his commitment to quality, operational expertise, and good humor.”
