Scofield residents warned of possible wildfire evacuations

Carbon County, UT-Scofield Reservoir area is being threatened by the Coal Hollow Fire. This fire grew from 8,000 acres to 12,000 acres during the course of the day. Mandatory evacuations are being ordered, they include North and West of Scofield Reservoir. Ie. Scofield Mountain Homes and Aspen Cove Subdivisions. Other areas outside of the those subdivisions include Bear Canyon Road; Fish Creek; access roads from Soldier Summit (NOT INCLUDING SR6); SR96 from SR6.
Pre-Evacuation Notice is being issued for Madsen Bay and Scofield West.
Residents of evacuated areas in Scofield are being allowed into their property to gather belongings until 1pm today 8/9/18, this includes livestock. Residents/ property owners must check in and out at the rangers station.
