Last Thursday, agents with the Adult Probation and Parole office received a tip about drug activity at a westside Price motel.
Along with Price Police officers Shawn Sackett and Randy Salyer, probation agents John Vasquez and John Powell went to the motel, where they made contact with probationer David Michael “Mickey” Johnson, 32, of Price, and Krystal Marie Noyes, 31, also of Price.
A security search of the room they were staying at, which was registered to Noyes, was conducted, and drug paraphernalia was allegedly in plain sight.
Both subjects were cooperative with officers, though Noyes refused to consent to further search of the room.
This led police to obtain a search warrant through 7th District Court.
Officers searched the room and allegedly discovered more paraphernalia, narcotics packaging materials, Horizon cards, over 5 ounces of methamphetamine, over 5 ounces of heroin, numerous prescription pills, more than $2,400 in cash, and ledgers with significant information for officers to investigate further.
Johnson was arrested and booked into the county jail for misdemeanor charges of possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Noyes was arrested and booked into jail for felony charges of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance (pills) with intent to distribute, and misdemeanor charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Carbon County Attorney’s Office will review the report to determine appropriate formal charges.
According to court records, Johnson has 11 previous arrests, including alcohol offenses, domestic violence, forgery, drug, and theft offenses.
Noyes has eight arrests for drug and theft offenses.
