The Helper City Council voted June 7 to rezone property at 625 Industrial Road to allow construction of a new Family Dollar store and additional retail businesses.
The tract is on the south side of town and just north of the Morgantown Machinery building. It is on the east side of Highway 6.
The zone was formerly Light Industrial I and is now General Commercial I.
The council acted to improve the city’s retail tax base and enhance the corridor leading into the central business district.
