Betty Pappas

    PRICE-Our sweetheart and friend to many, Betty Oliver Pappas, 95, passed away April 16, 2018 at the care center with her husband Louis by her side.
    She was born February 14, 1923 in Reno, Nevada to Alfonzo and Emma Carpani Mazzoni and was later adopted by her step-father Samuel Oliverio.  Betty was the last of four children and referred to herself as the caboose.  Married Louis Pappas on July 19, 1966 in Price, Utah.
    Betty was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church since April 28, 1934.  She was a warm and caring person who loved being with family and friends.  She was an excellent cook who owned and operated a café in Salt Lake City.  Betty also worked as a licensed beautician in her home in Price and as a security guard with Pinkerton at the Castle Gate Power Plant.  She was very talented in arts and crafts and will be dearly missed by all.
    She is survived by her husband, Louis Pappas; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Herbert) Richardson, Mesquite, NV; Shirley Pappas, Dayton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
    Preceded in death by her parents, brother, John; and her sisters, Lena and Mary.
    Funeral service, Friday, April 20, 2018, 1:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to services.  Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Betty online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
