Amanda Ann McFarland

EAST CARBON CITY-On December 14, 2017th we lost our beautiful angel Amanda and our lives will forever be changed.
She graduated from East Carbon High School in 1997 where she excelled both athletically and academically. Proudly, she was a member of The National Honor Society and even had the honor of being voted Miss Viking. For many years she was employed as a Logistics Coordinator and showed that she was as smart as she was beautiful. Amanda loved cooking shows and trying to imitate recipes from her two favorites Bobby Flay and the Pioneer Woman. Her favorite pastimes included family time, outings with her boys, fishing, side-by-side rides, boating at Lake Powell and taking naps. Coaching youth baseball made her so happy. Even her taste in music made her unique with her favorites ranging from Pearl Jam and The Smashing Pumpkins to Neil Diamond and Eric Church.
Amanda never saw faults or judged. At all times, she loved you with her whole heart. She loved to see her boys smile more than anything. Amanda was everyone’s biggest fan and she was always there to tell you how proud she was of you. Sadly, she never understood how loved she was or how much she lit up a room just by being in it. Heaven truly gained an angel with her. She will go in smiling her beautiful smile, singing her favorite songs, carrying a plate of homemade treats and deliver a perfectly timed witty comment just to lighten the mood. That is the Amanda that we all will remember and cherish in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her two sons TJ (Todd) and Arian, parents Todd and Cheryl of East Carbon, sister Austin (Chris) Cowan of Price, brother Tony (Amy) McFarland of Anthon Iowa, Grams Eunice McFarland of Sunnyside and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Preceded in death by grandparents Virgil and Teuni Tooley, grandpa, Floyd McFarland, uncle John Tooley, aunt Tara Ruane and aunt Jana Johnson.
In lieu of a traditional funeral service, the family will hold a Celebration of Life at later date per Amanda’s wishes.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome to share memories of Amanda online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
