Mont Harmon Middle School eighth-grade student Lindsey Jespersen has ben awarded a $100 scholarship savings account as a regional winner of Zions Bank “Pays for A’s” program. Lindsey is the daughter of Mark and Amy Jespersen of Price.
Price Zions Bank Assistant Manager Carmen Humphrey surprised Jespersen with the award during a presentation at the school.
Humphrey said, “We know that it takes extra time and effort to earn high marks, so we’re proud to recognize the achievements of students like Lindsey through the Pays for A’s program. Our goal is to help students focus on schoolwork and motivate them to earn good grades.”
Jespersen was entered into a drawing by bringing her report card to the bank where she was rewarded for every “A” grade she received. More than 1,400 students entered the winter drawing throughout Utah and Idaho.
Pays for A’s is open to all Utah and Idaho students ages 12 to 18. Students can participate by bringing their most current term-end report card into any Zions Bank location. A Zions Bank account is not necessary to participate.
Students are then entered into a drawing to win one of 150 regional scholarship prizes each worth $100 and one grand prize worth $1,000 in each state.
