Kim Wilcox puts the finishing touches on their Disney themed tree.

A Christmas tradition continues with Carbon County employees where they decorate several Christmas trees and then donate them to area families in need.
This year all county employees were divided up into four groups for the tree decorating project. The trees were purchased by the county, but the employees choose the theme and then donated all of the decorations to put on the tree.
This year the tree themes included Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa is coming to town, Willy Wonka Christmas and Disney.
    County departments include:
Rudolph tree – Recreation/Fairgrounds, Children’s Justice Center, Maintenance, Road Department, Engineering, the Senior Center and the Clerk/Auditor office.
Santa is coming to town tree – Emergency Services, Attorney, Commissioners, Recorder, Treasurer, the DMV, and Human Relations.
Willy Wonka tree: Ambulance, IT, GIS, Planning/Zoning, Sheriff, Assessor’s office.
Disney tree: Justice Court, Economic Development, Safety, Linda Ballard, Tourism, USU Extension and Animal Control.
