On October 19 the Carbon County Senior Center is sponsoring the next AARP Driver Safety Class 1:00-5:00 pm at the Senior Center.
By completing the class participants will be given a certificate to be presented to their auto insurance carrier to receive a discount on their auto insurance premium (when both spouses enroll both will receive the discount), which is good for three years. There are no tests, written or actual driving, given. The cost of the class is $15.00 for AARP members and $20.00 for others, this includes all manuals and handout materials. To register for the course, contact the Center at 636-3202. In addition to information on how drivers can adapt to the changes of aging, there have been several new laws passed relating to driving that will be included in the discussion.
