Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. We build with people in need, regardless of race or religion.
We welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds, to build houses together in partnership with families in need. Through volunteer labor and donations of materials and money, Habitat builds simple, decent, affordable homes with the help of our community and our partner families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families and financed with no-interest loans. The homeowners’ mortgage payments are then invested back into the community in the form of future HFH home builds.
Habitat for Humanity is not a giveaway program. We believe in a hand up; not a hand out. In addition to down payments and monthly mortgage payments, our homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own sweat equity into building their Habitat home and the homes of others.
We are currently focused on our program, A Brush With Kindness (ABWK), a critical home repair program. We focus on working with low income homeowners, elderly, disabled and veterans. To date, A Brush with Kindness has served over 39 homeowners and welcomed over 100 volunteers. Typical projects include exterior painting, exterior ramps and stairs, rain gutters and window replacement. Material donations for these projects are always welcome.
To get additional information about our programs, to volunteer, donate materials or just learn more about us, please contact our office at (435)637-9701, visit us on Facebook or email us at info@habitatcastlecountry.org
We would like to thank our local businesses and all our generous donors. It is only with your partnerships and support that we are able to help build and repair our community.
