PRICE – LaWella Oviatt, age 91, passed away with family at her bedside. LeWella was born on December 9, 1925 to Elaman and Rachael Gentry King in Spring Canyon, UT.
She was married to LaVon “Pete” Oviatt on May 24, 1947 in Elko, NV. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS temple.
She was a wonderful singer, poet, avid reader and writer. She wrote many poems for her grandchildren that made them feel very special to her. She loved spending time at their cabin with the grandchildren and friends.
She owned and operated a café with her husband in Huntington, UT for many years. She loved to sit and visit with the café customers.
She will be greatly missed by her family and all those that knew and loved her.
LeWella is survived by her children: Conna (Craig) Larsen, Richard Scott Oviatt, both of Price, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Marie Oviatt.
Preceded in death by husband LaVon Oviatt, daughter Melyni Ann Oviatt, parents Elaman King, Rachael Ann Gentry King and seven siblings.
The family would like to thank the Beehive Home where she has lived the past six years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, (680 East 100 South). The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Cleveland Town Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may share memories of LaWella at www.fausettmortuary.com.
