Each year Castle Country Radio raises money for local charitable entities. This year, at their annual pie auction, they raised $12,392 and have donated to worthy community organizations such as Perkies Travel, travel fuel cards for local cancer patients and scholarship opportunities just to mention a few.
One of the many recipients of this years money is United Way Live.Love.Local Cancer Assistance program, which received a donation of $1,500. All proceeds raised go to supporting local families left with the aftermath of cancer and can be used for gas, hotel rooms and food.
United Way also does a Live.Love.Local Cancer Assistance program 5K run and will hold numerous luncheons to also raise money for community awareness.
