A musician with local ties plans to make a video in downtown Price and other locations to honor first responders, firefighters, police officers, and members of the military, especially those who have died in the service to their country. The working title of the video is “Change.”
Ryan Stream is a motivational speaker, who also describes himself as a musician and soldier. The music video will feature an 1,800 square foot American Flag, with Stream performing on a grand piano amid the chaos of a staged riot. The scene is meant to recognize the potential challenges faced by local law enforcement officers. The grand piano will be furnished by Lee’s Music.
Stream is inviting “anybody and everybody” to be an extra in the riot scene. Main Street will be closed to traffic from 2:30 to 4:30 on Friday, July 7 while the scene is being shot. Stream said volunteers should wear basic jeans and t-shirt type attire, and are encouraged to make and bring mock signs protesting any issue, such as gun control, gender-neutral restrooms, healthcare, and public lands.
Extras will also be needed for a scene to be shot at the Price City Cemetery, which will simulate a full military honors ceremony. Another scene will feature the Wellington Fire Department saving a child during a mock fire rescue mission.
As a musician, Stream said he has been playing since he was six years old when he and his two brothers were adopted by the Steve Stream family. He recalled, “They had a piano in the house from Lee’s Music.” Stream plays “a little bit of everything,” from easy listening to country to classical.
As a motivational speaker, Stream said, “I travel all over doing church activities, youth summits, school districts and correctional facilities.”
Stream is a Sergeant in the Price National Guard 624th Engineer Battalion. He is an 11-year veteran and has served two tours of duty in Afghanistan.
He and his wife, Elizabeth are the parents of two daughters. They currently reside in Delta.
