It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our sister, daughter and friend. Tonie Leyba, born February 20, 1979 in Price, UT died June 15, 2017 in Gilbert, AZ at the young age of 38. She fought a long and hard battle with cancer, which ultimately took her life. Her desire and will to live will be with us always as a constant reminder of how precious life is.
She leaves behind a father & mother (Jake & Tonie), three brothers (Larry, Terry & Jake Jr) and three sisters (Lorraine Velasquez, Cathy Martinez & Jackie Leyba).
She lived her life to the fullest, speaking often about her many nieces and nephews. Remembering vividly and fondly her ‘Sisters Only Vacations’. She was especially saddened by the fact, that she will be leaving Jackie and the rest of us behind. Tonie graduated from East Carbon High School in 1997 soon after she obtained a degree in Information Technology from the College of Eastern Utah, eventually settling in Gilbert, AZ where she worked as an Tech Support Analyst.
We are a religious family and take comfort in our beliefs that we will all be reunited once again.
Tonie is free now, her life eternal.
