“Together Again”
Brigham City – Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Evelyn Jane Rasmussen Petersen, 91, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 in Brigham City, Utah.
She was born on December 17, 1925 in Kenilworth, Utah, a daughter of Lawrence H. and Thelma J Oveson Rasmussen.
Evelyn graduated from Price High School and she married her sweetheart, Cambron R. Petersen on August 1, 1945 in Price, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Cambron preceded her in death on July 31, 2012.
She worked in retail for JC Penney and retired after 30 years.
Evelyn loved the Utah Jazz and needlepoint, crocheting and working in her yard.
Surviving are her son, Robert (Nancy) Petersen; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two brothers and one sister, Vaughn Ron Rasmussen; Tom Rasmussen and Lee Saccomanno.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, James Cambron Petersen and Danny Venoy Petersen; 2 grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
The family would like to give a big shout out to the staff at Maple Springs Assisted Living for their care and support to Evelyn.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Price City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends on Thursday at 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT.
