Carol Jean Jones

EAST CARBON- Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Carol Jean Porter Jones, age 70, passed away May 10, 2017.
She was born in Panguitch, Utah on August 23, 1946 to Max and Shirley Porter. Married the love of her life, Thayde LaRelle Jones, January 6, 1962 in Kearns, Utah.
Carol loved to crochet and make beautiful doilies. She would steal our cell phones to play Solitaire and Yahtzee. She also loved to talk on the phone with her grandkids, gossiping for hours. Carol loved to cook and was always looking for new recipes. She loved trying them out on all of the kids. Carol loved nothing more than having her family around her. She was always happy, selfless, and giving.
Carol and LaRelle were married for 56 years and was hardly ever apart. She will be dearly missed every day.
Survived by her husband, LaRelle; children, Shelly Jones, East Carbon, Ward (Lisa) Jones, Clawson, Cody Jones, East Carbon, Corrina Mitchell, East Carbon; brothers, Dennis and Max; sisters, Maureen and Lorraine; grandchildren, Derrick, Shandi, Kyla, Elsha, Shadayah, Kade, Shaylynn, Aidan, Kati, Tylee and 10 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Max and Shirley Porter.
Funeral service, Wednesday, May 17, 2017, 12:00 Noon, Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
