Ronald “Pa” Hannert passed away on April 4, 2017. He was a native of Orangeville, Utah. He grew up camping and exploring the Manti LaSal Mountains as well as the desert of the San Rafael Swell. He graduated from Emery High and started taking classes at the University of Utah before joining the Army. Ron was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. After his service with the Army, he returned to the University of Utah graduating with a degree in Business. Ron would spend the majority of his career in Real Estate, Construction, and Land Development.
Ron was a great father to his sons, Ryan and Richie, and we were lucky enough to call him Pa. Pa would take us boating, camping, fishing, hunting and on an annual trip to Carlsbad, California. A gifted storyteller, Pa always made the journey part of the adventure and as important as the destination. Riding with Pa are some of our fondest memories. He also taught us that you can find some humor even in a serious situation. He was very close to our friends and loved that they all called him Pa.
Pa was able to get the most out of every moment, which leaves all of his friends and family with many memorable moments. Pa was certainly one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Per his request, a celebration of his life will be held at the city park in Toquerville, Utah on May 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM. – See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/saltlaketribune/obituary.aspx?n=ronald-hannert-pa&pid=185177765&eid=sp_shareobit#sthash.a2OEzah0.dpuf
