Linda Murdock

HELPER-Our amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Linda Murdock, 63, of Helper, Utah passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 after a ten year battle with cancer. She was a strong and amazing woman who fought with all the love in her heart to stay on this earth.
She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 18, 1954, the eldest daughter of John and Mary Smith Dunne. Married the love of her life, Steve R. Murdock, October 13, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1987 their marriage was blessed at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Linda was a beloved member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Helper and she definitely loved her church and the parishoners. She was a community leader and was elected twice to serve as the Justice Court Judge for Helper and East Carbon Cities. Her career was her passion and to which she dedicated 17 years of serving her community with love, respect and dignity.
Linda leaves behind her beloved husband, Steve R. Murdock, Helper; sons and daughter, Jeffery (Lorena) Murdock, Tucson, AZ, Kelle (Mitch) McKinnon, Price, Kristofer Murdock, Price; grandchildren, Dylan, Mya, Roein and Tyler; sisters, Paula, Mary, Jackie and Jane; aunt Joan and uncle Ed; mother-in-law, Roberta Murdock; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Mass, Saturday, May 6, 2017, 10:00 a.m., St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Vigil service, Friday evening 8:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
