Carbon FFA competed at the State Judging competition April 24-25. These competitors represented Carbon well. Students competed in Agriculture Sales, Floriculture, Ag. Mechanics, Forestry, Meats Evaluation, Dairy Cattle Evaluation, Veterinary Science, and Horse Evaluation.
Jace Draper, a freshman, placed third in Forestry. Trista Kister, a junior, placed third in Ag. Mechanics.
Students practiced several times a week, met with professionals, and studied. Competitors needed public speaking skills, charisma, knowledge, ability to perform under pressure, problem-solving skills, and desire to succeed.
All FFA members are invited to the FFA Closing Banquet, May 3, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the Carbon School District building. The competitors and other members will be recognized for efforts this school year.
