An Orangeville man died from injuries he sustained when the car he was driving was broadsided as it turned onto Highway 10 from SR-29 Saturday.
The Utah Highway Patrol said the collision happened at about 12:30 p.m. when a car driven 41-year old Trevor Lutes followed another vehicle through the intersection without stopping, and into the path of a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 10. Lutes’s car was impacted on the driver’s side by the southbound vehicle. He was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition and died a short time later.
According to a news release, Troopers are investigating the possibility that Lutes may have been impaired by alcohol, which may have contributed to the crash.
Information on the other people involved in the crash was not provided.
