Bountiful, Utah – JoAnn Buchanan Barham, a woman greatly loved and cherised for her deep love and devotion for her family; and her special grace, beauty, and radiant smile, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born April 8, 1936 in Venice, Utah, the cherished daughter of three children to Reuben and Pauline Larsen Buchanan. JoAnn met her husband Donald Barham in the Milky Way malt shop by Carbon College, in Price Utah, and they were married on November 21, 1956. They sealed their eternal love in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on July 6, 1965. They raised four children, and the legacy of their profound love now includes 15 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a member of the Barton Creek Assisted Living Branch in Bountiful, Utah. She actively served and participated in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and was an avid reader and book club member; she also served in a variety of Church Relief Society and primary positions.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Mar. 4, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Fairways Chapel, 1533 N. 1075 W., Farmington, UT. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 N. Main and Saturday morning from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
