The Carbon High School boys’ basketball team defeated the Buffaloes of Tooele High School on Friday to advance to the quarterfinals of the 3A State Tournament.
The Dinos outscored Tooele 54-46 in the first round of the tournament.
Carbon will face Ridgeline High School on Thursday at Utah State University, Logan. Carbon will face a tough opponent in Ridgeline, who finished the regular season as the top seed in Region 11, with an overall record of 18-4 and a league record of 6-0.
The Dinos earned their 12th win of the season with the win over Tooele, and finished the regular season with a Region 12 record of 4-4.
