EAST CARBON-Florence Jones Eckright, 90, passed away February 3, 2017. She was born April 4, 1926 in Anoka, Minnesota to George and Mary Ludwick Jones. Married Robert Eckright, August 21, 1955 in Chehalis, Washington; he died April 17, 2008.
Florence led out in Bible Studies and in services in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and had a thriving school in Sunnyside, Utah where she was known for excellent results in Bible, Math, and Reading.
Survivors include her children: Karen (Kevin) Pires, Joyce (Joel) Meyer, Eberle (Cheryl) Eckright, and Teresa (Kevin) Lehman; and step-children: Nadyne Wallace, Mildred Coffer, and Florence Lutcavitch, and many grandchildren. Mrs. Eckright was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eckright; and several brothers and sisters.
Florence Eckright’s goal in life was to prepare as many people as possible for the soon coming of Jesus in the clouds of heaven. Are you ready for Jesus to come? She would remind you to study your Bible and love Jesus!
Funeral service, Wednesday, February 8, 2017, 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment, East Carbon City Cemetery.
