Edwards E. Edwards

By Sun Advocate

On January 18, 2017 Eddie passed away surrounded by his family and friends. He was 61 years old, and battled Scleroderma for 2 years.
In his younger years Eddie was an adrenaline junkie and as tough as they come. He spent many years as a bull rider chasing the 8 second dream. He worked as a river guide on the Green River in Desolation Canyon with his wife and their family business. His free spirited nature had him riding dirt bikes with his buddies, jeeping and ATVing with his family and snowboarding with his kids and grandkids.
Ed was taught to love hunting and fishing from a very young age and he never lost that. Moving to Wyoming provided him more hunting opportunities. In the short time he lived there he must have hunted nearly every inch of that state with his best friend and their wives. He loved the outdoors and shared that love with his family. Ed had an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor and was always playing practical jokes on his family and friends. He was loved by all that knew him.
For most of his life Eddie was a coal miner, first going underground in 1973 and staying there until he could no longer work in 2015. He worked in 4 mines and held many positions but loved being a miner operator the most.
Eddie married the love of his life, Kathy on March 1, 1975 and together they had 3 children. Their son Joel passed away in April 1994. Daughter Jennifer married Steve Jenson and son Brett married Ashley Provstgaard. Eddie and Kathy have 7 grandkids; Donovon, Bo, Kya, Kailee-Jade, Alivia, Boston and Bridger.
Eddie is survived by his sister Joan Powell of Wellington and Mother-in-law Mary Stevens of Ferron along with many Brothers-in-law and Sisters-law, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Grant and Rachel Edwards, son Joel Edwards and Father-in-law Paul Stevens.
Funeral services will be held January 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Price 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 303 W. 500 S. Price, Utah84501
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Eddie Edwards Donation account at Wells Fargo to help cover medical expenses.
