The Carbon High School wrestling team won its dual against Emery High School on Tuesday night, outscoring the Spartans 45-28.
The Dinos got off to a rough start, losing their first two matches to the Spartans by pin. However, the Dinos tied the dual at 12 points with a win by pin by Bobby Blake and wins by Casey Shiner and Kayden Gibson. Carbon fell behind once again losing by pin in the next match, but went on to win three more, with Ridic Migliori and Nathan Cowley pinning their opponents to take a 27-18 lead. The Dinos lost two more matches throughout the night, but three forfeits by the Spartans late in the dual pushed the score in the Dinos’ favor.
The Dinos will travel to the Rockwell Rumble this weekend for their next matches.
