World travelers know Helper

“I’m just sociable,” says Monika Jensen, who works at Helper’s liquor store. It explains why she always asks people with foreign accents to tell where they’re from “It’s fun to find out,” she adds.
Visitors enjoyed talking about their travels and their homelands, so Jensen decided maybe having them sign a guest register would be fun, too.
Store manager Calvin Ockey agreed, and the log book became a counter fixture.
It’s an impressive list, showing a lot of folks passing through from places like France, Germany and the Netherlands, not to mention Utah cities.
While the museums in Price and Helper are tourist destinations, their gift shops can’t sell every kind of product a traveler may want.
